Searching for indexed PDF and Flash files

To see how many PDF and Flash files have been indexed on a site (as well as other file types) use the filetype: operator in Google. For instance, to check the number of PDFs on the BBC you would search site:www.bbc.co.uk filetype:pdf.

For Flash files, you would search for site:www.bbc.co.uk filetype:swf.
