New Google Favicon

Ooh! Google have just updated their favicon (the little image that displays when a page is saved as a favourite, or in the address bar of some browsers).

It used to look like this: Google Old Favicon

It now looks like this: Google New Favicon

    I like the new icon - it looks more subtle and since it’s less bright, more calm… Confused me this morning and got me doing a virus scan first thing… Nice to hear it’s not just me…

    I’m not crazy about the new icon. I don’t mind change, but the new icon is difficult to see against the dark-grey tabs of Firefox 3 Mac. The old one with the white background was easy to see.
